The way I see it, people can have their religions- their gods, their miracles, their messiahs and holy books and stories, and I have no right to object. It's when they become obsessive, when they kill others in the name of their religion and dedicate themselves so zealously to their god that they become empty, and demand their beliefs be brought into law to make others into the same, that I find religion troubling.
And sadly, it's in that form that religion is most abundant, regardless of what religion it is- Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu... I've found no exceptions.
(Sorry for the rant being in English- I have no experience using French.)
